Sites are kind of close to each other. Often a quiet place. Great location in Evans Notch. All kinds of great hikes nearby.

If you want the best rustic camping experience, Hastings is the place. Hosts Mike and Linda are so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. I have been going to Hasting for 30 years and just recently in late July 2015. The campground was In the best condition ever and the primitive toilets were the cleanest I have experienced. Sightings for the weekend: 2 bear cubs, 2 moose, 2 deer. Fishing for trout, AMAZING. The river runs right behind the campground. Tons of hiking/mountain biking trails. We highly recommend this area.
